eBay India is a subsidiary of NASDAQ listed eBay, the largest online marketplace in the world that enables trade on a local, national and international basis. eBay entered India in Mid 2004 with the acquisition of Baazee.com which was founded by Avnish Bajaj and Suvir Jain in 2000. eBay India has a community of over 2 million registered users across over 670 towns in India. Approximately 12,800 sellers use eBay India as a primary or secondary source of income.

Rajan Mehra is the 38-year-old Country Manager of eBay India. As Country Manager, he leads the entire eBay Portfolio in India. Rajan has an entrepreneurial background in the internet space. He set up Bidorbuy.com in 2000 which was bought by Ebay in 200 and was Country manager of the New Ventures and Payment business of Ebay prior to his current role. After graduating from the Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai, Rajan went on to complete his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, USA.
